They thought it would be the adventure of a lifetime.
In the novella “Nightmare in the Desert,” two lovers discover a long lost diary describing a 19th Century train robbery and buried gold. Thinking they have a treasure map to instant riches, they trek to the New Mexico desert only to find a nemesis in a state trooper who sniffs out what they’re looking for and has his own sinister plans for them.
From the author whose stories have appeared in Mystery Magazine, Heater Magazine, and Over My Dead Body! comes this searing thriller where wills are tested, endurance is challenged, and degrees of betrayal are even hotter than the desert heat.
